5/22/09 Weekend Recap

Happy Memorial Day!

As we honor and remember our veterans and heroes, Elite Entertainment had a Memorable weekend!!

The weekend started at the St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade. George and Superman Dan had 'em dancin' in the streets until the parade made it to 11 Mile Road.

5/22/09

Kristen & Kyle
Superman Dan headed out to Club Monte Carlo to celebrate with Kristen, Kyle and their guests. The Bride and Groom Rock & Rolled their way into the hall and celebrated to It's Your Love for their first dance. All the Single Ladies showed up for the Bouquet Toss. Superman Dan played a variety of tunes requested by guests and every one danced until Michael Buble said it was time to go Home. It was another successful event!

Kristy & Al
What a great event! We were able to provide all 3 services for Kristy and Al. Being an out of state bride, Kristy was able to plan the majority of her ceremony and reception by using our on-line client log-in and planning forms. The Little Wedding Chapel at Historic Park in Taylor made a picturesque backdrop for both our photographer and videographers. The Newlyweds and the Bridal Party preceded over to Lakeland Manor where Big Ben got Kristy , Al and their guest to Celebrate the new union. A custom Monogram accented to dance floor as Kristy and Al danced to Endless Love. Finally it was time to say Goodnight Sweetheart.

Alicia & Brian
On a scale of 1-10 this weddings was a ....1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9......10! 10! 10!
When you have all 3 of our services working together things flow so smooth... like butter! We were at the beautiful Treetops Resort in Gaylord, yes Gaylord, Michigan. JD started the day snapping shots of the Bride with her "maids" and the Groom with his "men". The ceremony was on the picturesque grounds. As guests moved inside, Dan played a great variety of music. The Groom chose a personal song for his Mom. As they took the dance floor, Dan announced, "This is a special song for Brian and Judy. They sang it in the car to keep Brian awake so he would nap when they got home!" What was the song? Good night sweetheart? Lullaby? Nope, it would be..... Benny and the Jets by Elton John!!!! Ron was there to capture the memory on video. As the night was coming to an end, then Alica had an important shout out!






Marlo & Scott
What a great day to be on the water! Big Ben made some waves at Gino's Surf! Marlo & Scott enjoyed a custom first dance song & the dance floor was PACKED all night long as the guest danced the night away. Our Videographers were there to capture every moment! Until it was time for Adam Sandler to Grow Old With You.



Shout out to Grosse Pointe South's Class of 2009!
They arrived at the Roostertail by Car, Limo and Boat!!! I'm on a boat!
The Class of 2009 danced the night away. The biggest songs of the night: Twist & Shout, Shout, and Do you love me?!!! Classics! But nothing topped the Sandstorm!

Dan had a great night at Tina's Country House. What a great day for an outdoor wedding! The ceremony was beautiful in Tina's Garden. We ran EARLY!! Dan was prepared and didn't miss a beat. After dinner the guests enjoyed extra time drinking and dancing!


We must not forget to wish a Happy Birthday to one of our "Founding Fathers" .........the DD himself.......Dan! Dan, Dan, He's the Man!!

Rachel & Jeff
Washington Banquet Center was a beautiful backdrop for Rachel and Jeff's wedding. Check out details fresh off of the Superman Dan Cam. The dance floor ROCKED all night long and Micheal Buble sent everyone "Home".




Tony & Megan
Another great event at Zuccaro's of Clinton Township. Dan was happy to welcome Tony & Megan as Another Bites The Dust! After enjoying a wonderful dinner, Aunt Debbie did a great job on presenting a Photo Montage of the Bride and Groom. Photo Montages are a great way to share the journey to your wedding day. We were privileged to also provide Photography services for Tony and Megan. Check out all the beautiful details.











The night ended as Billy Joel tickled the ivorys and the Piano Man sent everyone on their way.

Katie & Jake
Talk about making a GRAND ENTRANCE! Check out our second installment of the Superman Dan Cam. What a great crowd and a fun bunch of guests who danced the night away! The Royalty House provided great scenery for the Bride and Groom's wedding video. Check back for Video highlights!





Emily & Robert

George celebrated with Emily, Robert and their guests at Andiamo's Italia . Guests took advantage of the opportunity to give requests. We received over 100 requests and played as many as possible. On average we play 65 dance songs per reception. This night 90% were requests!


Lynn & Deepak

Twin Lakes was transformed as Lynn & Deepak celebrated a traditional Hindu Wedding Ceremony. Beginning with the Sri Ganesha Pooja and concluding with the Mangala Aarthi, every tradition was observed. DJ's Brad & Liz helped the Bride and Groom get things started and cut their cake to Love and Marriage by Frank Sinatra. As the evening progressed, 3,2,1 Say Cheese Photobooth provide guests with a unique way to make memories with Lynn & Deepak.

Jamie & Mike

Club Monte Carlo was top notch as always! DJ Dan Dettloff helped Jamie and Mike put a personal touch on every music selection. They Cut The Cake with the Average White Band and danced together as Love of a Lifetime played. Jamie enjoyed a dance with both her Dad to I loved her first by Heartland and dance with her Step Dad to My Wish by Rascal Flatts. Mike also expressed his love for his mom with I am your child by Barry Manilow. The Bride and Groom were able to select DO NOT PLAYS and we were happy to have one less night of The Hokey Pokey & The Chicken Dance! We love being able to provide a personal touch through music.

Kimberly & James

Big Ben Rocked the San Marino Club! The Bride and Groom were Partyin' Like a Rock Star as they entered the reception. After Cupid got his shuffle on, the dance floor was packed! Big Ben played a great variety from Spanish Eyes to Apache's Jump on it. Kimberly and James did an amazing custom song! Everyone had a great time!



Grosse Pointe South High School Junior Prom

We would also like to give a shout out to Grosse Pointe South High School Junior Class! We enjoyed celebrating Prom with you at Mac & Ray's. Student's enjoyed using our on-line request forms to make sure they heard the latest and greatest at Prom.

5/9/09 Weekend Recap

Whooooo, what a marathon. We had 6 wonderful events this week and 10 next weekend. Wedding season is definitely in full swing!!! Check out our event's this weekend:

Jaclyn & Jason

The Riverhouse again, was a picturesque backdrop for Jaclyn and Jason's wedding reception. These best friends decided to honor both her father and his mother by sharing a dance to You'll be in my heart by Phil Collins. Joining these two formal dances is an effective way to manage time and still honor your loved ones. DJ Ben kept their guests dancing all night and were sad to say goodnight With Arms Wide Open.

Diana & Steve

Tina's Country House was a great location for both the Ceremony and Reception for Diana & Steve. The bride serenaded her groom with Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colby Calait. The night was filled with singing performances and even a polka performed on a harmonica. Elite Entertainment was able to capture all of the fun on video. Also, a beautiful montage was playing through out the night. Diana & Steve along with their guests had a great time celebrating!



Christina & Nicholas

It's not often that we experience a first. This reception was the first time we were at the Eagle Crest Marriott. Both the banquet facilities and the hotel were BEAUTIFUL! Christina & Nicholas had an amazing crowd. We were happy to work with Aruna B. Photography. Everyone had a great night.

Kristie & Pete

Check out the new Alexanders! Dan had a great night with Kristie and Pete who took advantage of our planning forms. During DJ Dan's final information meeting with Kristie and Pete, the time-line was worked out so that we were able to keep the night flowing and on time. From the Final Countdown to Don't Stop Believing the Bride and Groom and their guest danced the night away!

Also, Elite Entertainment would like to congratulate the Lakeshore class of 2009!
The Saints went marchin' in at this Mardi Gras themed prom. Masked guests danced the night away as DJ Superman Dan & DJ Mario played all the hottest hits. It was a memorable night for all!

5/2/09 Weekend Recap

We're stretching our legs and finding our stride. Our wedding marathon has begun and we are off to a good start! Last weekend was another success!

Kathleen & Jeff
Superman had a great Friday night at Barrister Gardens. Kathleen & Jeff took on a very difficult decision a "Non-Smoking Reception". This is a new trend that we are seeing and kudos to Kathleen & Jeff for deciding to go smoke free. Their guests rocked and danced the night away! It was a GREAT celebration!


Roma & Frank
My Big Amore Italian Wedding!!! 2 BestMen, 2 Matrons of Honor, 6 Bridesmaids and Groomsmen, a Flower Girl and a Cherries Jubilee!! Whew. Dan and Dan (yep Dan and Superman Dan) had a great night at Penna's of Sterling. Roma & Frank were "Ready to Rumble" as they entered the hall. After cake and Cannon in D they were ready to dance the night away, kicking it off with You and Me by Lifehouse. Guests danced all night to wide range of music until it was Time to Say Goodbye.


Lauren & Timothy
Being HUGE Law & Order fans, began their evening with a custom Grand Introduction:

"On this day of celebration, the bride and groom are represented by two separate yet equally important groups. The bridesmaids who make sure Lauren has enough Kleenex and the groomsmen who keep cigars ready for Tim. This is their bridal party." Dun, dun.......

George had a great time with Lauren & Tim and all of their guests at St. Josaphat Banquet Center.
